Biography
Jose Castro-Perez Ph.D is the Director of Global Markets Health Sciences at Waters Corporation, and is responsible for managing different disciplines from Biomarker Discovery, to Clinical diagnostics. Prior to joining Waters Corporation, Jose spent 6 years as the Team Leader of Biomarkers and Translational Research at Merck, Kenilworth, NJ. His role was to manage biology programs from target identification to lead optimization and provide analytical support to the various biology groups within the therapeutic disease areas. Before his post at Merck, he held a position at Waters Corp as a Senior Business Development Manager; in his role he was responsible for the introduction of the QTof technology. Prior to joining Waters, he worked at Huntingdon Life Sciences as a Senior Bio-analyst where he managed Phase II and III clinical trials bio-analysis using LC-MS/MS and enzyme immunoassays. In 2014, Jose was awarded by Thompson Reuters the prestigious Highly Sited Researcher Award.
